Lisa Brown Roberts has been an active member of SCBWI since 1998 and still remembers the joy she felt when she attended her first conference and realized she had found her writing home. She loves being part of the Wild Writers, and believes that she has earned the equivalent of an MFA in Creative Writing due to their collective brilliance (not to mention the 10 pounds she has gained due to all the munchies consumed at their monthly meetings.) Lisa has held a variety of day jobs to support her writing habit, many of them involving writing, but not the fun kind. She currently works in higher education during the day and writes feverishly at 3:00 in the morning, on weekends, and any other time she can convince her family to go play outside and leave her alone. Except for the cats. They can stay, because every writer needs a cat (or two) on her lap. |
